Does IceFighter cost anything? Read
No, IceFighter is free. All you need is an email address and a password, you play right in your browser. Premium saves time and brings extras such as the game scenes as video, but it does not make your team stronger. It cannot be bought at the moment.
I signed up but can't log in. Read
After signing up you get a welcome email with a link. Only when you open it is your registration complete, and then you log in with your email address and your password. The link is valid for 48 hours; after that the registration is deleted and you simply sign up again.
Coach's tip No email? Check your spam folder. When you try to log in, you can have the email sent again.
When does it start after I sign up? Read
As soon as your league has 12 teams. That usually takes an hour or so at most, and until then the home page shows how many teams are still missing. Then the schedule is created and you get an email: “Let's go – your league is complete!”
Coach's tip Use the wait: set up your line-up and strategy and buy 5 ticket booths in the stadium.
What do I get to start with? Read
A complete team with 15 players of strength 4 aged 20 to 27, 20 million bucks of starting capital, a stadium with 15,000 standing places and 100,000 shares of your own club. On top comes the starter pack: 7 days of Premium on trial, 10 million bankbook bucks for the bankbook shop and the assistant coach for the first season, once per manager. You can change the randomly chosen club name in the settings.
Which characters can my team name have? Read
Your team name is made up of home town and mascot, up to 25 characters each. Allowed are letters, German umlauts and ß, Czech letters such as č or ř, digits, spaces, hyphens and periods. The name starts and ends with a letter or digit, spaces at the start and end are removed. Every team name exists only once, upper and lower case and accents do not count.
Coach's tip Choose a name of your own: names of real clubs, arenas or brands and anything insulting are not allowed. The game management can change such names.
I forgot my password. What now? Read
Click “Login” in the menu at the top, then “Forgotten password”, and enter your email address. You will get a link that is valid for 1 hour and works only once. As soon as you have saved your new password, you are logged in.
How do I change my email address? Read
In the Settings, with your current password. A link valid for 48 hours goes to the new address. The new address only applies once you open it; until then you log in with your current one. An address that another account already uses can't be entered.
Why is my new password rejected? Read
It needs at least 10 characters with upper and lower case letters, a number and a special character. While you type, a checklist shows which rule is already met. Older passwords remain valid.
Can I protect my account even better? Read
Yes, with two-factor login in the Settings. After the password the game then asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Aegis. When you switch it on you get 8 recovery codes in case you don't have your phone at hand. Write them down, they are shown only once. You can switch it off any time with password and code. Optional.
Why can't I get into the game right now? Read
Once between the 29th and the end of the month the season settlement runs. Only while it is calculating is the game in maintenance and you can't log in. It doesn't take long. After that you are back in and can get your club ready for the new season.
Can I have several teams? Read
No, every manager plays with exactly one team. Further accounts for extra teams are not allowed, otherwise you could end up playing against yourself in the final. If you want to start over with your team, use the account reset in the settings.
Can I delete my team? Read
Yes, at the very bottom of the settings. You request a code by email and confirm the deletion with it. The team is deleted when the season is settled, and you can change your mind until 2 p.m. on the 28th. After that it is final.
Can I start over with my team? Read
Yes, with the account reset in the Settings. After your login password and a check box, your team starts right away like a newly registered team: 20 million seed capital, 15 new players, a new arena. Name, league, schedule, bankbook bucks and Premium stay. You are out of your clan, and your open clan games go 2:0 to the opponent. Your first reset is free, the second costs the bankbook bucks of the smallest pack, every further one twice that. All resets of your account count, however long ago they were.

When are the games played? Read
Every day from the 1st to the 28th. The league plays at 16:15 on even match days and at 18:15 on odd ones, the Flop playoffs at 16:15 and the Top playoffs at 18:15. Then come the WorldCup (20:15), the clan league (21:15) and 1-to-1 (22:15). A game lasts about 30 minutes: two game minutes per real minute.
By when does my line-up have to be set? Read
Until about 10 minutes before kick-off. Then the match engine loads your line-up and strategy. Until your game is over, the line-up stays locked, in league, playoffs and WorldCup the strategy too. You step in through the live game, and you can look at the table and results all the time.
Why did my stronger team lose? Read
In a game, what counts are the lines currently on the ice, and the line on the ice loses 10 % of its strength every round. If you only have one super line, it is worn out in the last period. And there is luck with the scoring chances.
Coach's tip Fill all five lines and let the assistant coach rotate them, or change lines yourself in the live game.
What does the strategy do? Read
Eight sliders decide how your team plays: fair or hard, attacking or waiting, with little or a lot of effort. We don't reveal exactly what each slider does. Try different settings, keep an eye on your players and find the approach that suits your team.
Coach's tip Four save slots hold different strategies, and you assign the right one to every game.
Are there draws? Read
No. If the score is level after 60 minutes, a shootout decides. The winner gets 2 points, the loser 1 point. A win in regular time is worth 3 points.
What does the Game days page show me? Read
All games of a game day with result or face-off time. The small number on the crest is the place before the game day, the duel of the two best-placed teams is the top game, and under the game day buttons a colored line shows your result. Below: the matchday in numbers from the lightning goal to the thriller (before the game day a preview with the form of all teams), the movement in the table before and after, your way through the regular season, the league’s top scorers and the cross table with every duel of the regular season.
Can I step in during the game? Read
Yes. If you're in the game when your match starts, a notice with “Straight to the live game” pops up. While your game is running, “Go to match” takes you to the live game, and if you log in during that time, you land there right away. In the live game you change lines and goalie, play a power play when the opponent has a player in the penalty box, pull the goalie from minute 55 and set your tactics to offensive, controlled or defensive.
Coach's tip Offensive gives you and the opponent more chances. If you're behind, open up; if you're ahead, shut it down.
Why don't I see videos on the TV? Read
In the live game, the match scenes as video are only available with Premium and the “animated match scenes” box ticked in the settings. The game of the day on the home page shows the scenes to everyone.
What is the game of the day? Read
Every match day IceFighter picks a league or playoff game as the game of the day. You find it on the start page and watch it as a replay in the arena: with the video scenes for everyone, the video cube, the LED boards and the benches of both teams.
Coach's tip Click a goal on the timeline or in the ticker to watch the scene again.

How do my players get stronger? Read
Only at the end of the season through the upgrade. Training never changes strength, it raises form, stamina and freshness. For the upgrade the values on the last day count: stamina 100, freshness 100, form 30 and motivation of 100 or more are the goal.
Why is my training plan gone? Read
Without an assistant coach it only applies to the next training at 12:15. With an assistant coach (10 million for the season) it stays, and in the game the assistant coach changes lines automatically.
Is the training camp worth it? Read
It costs 2 million and lasts one match day: two hard sessions at 10:15 and 15:15, and in that day's games your players lose only half the freshness. You have 3 camps per season. Save them for the days when your best bench has to play twice.
Which training session does what? Read
You have to find that out yourself. Every session works on stamina, form and freshness, but differently in every club, and it is shuffled anew every season. The training report at the bottom of the training page tells you after every training what your players took away. If you are in a hurry, ask a coach in the auction house or go straight to the training adviser.
Why is my new player so tired? Read
Players you buy arrive with form 20, freshness 75 and stamina 60. Give them a few days of training before you put them in your best line.
Why can't I sell a player? Read
You can sell healthy, non-suspended pros below strength 8 and players aged 29 or older. At least 11 players and one goalie must stay, and youth players under 18 cannot be sold. On the sale page every locked player shows the reason.
Can I search for a player with a specific strength and age? Read
Yes. Under Buy players set strength to “exactly” and age to “exactly”, and the list only shows players with exactly those values. With “and up” and “up to” you search a range as usual.
How long does the contract of a player I buy run? Read
Every player you buy signs for 2 seasons, the current one counts. That applies on the transfer market and to the strength 11 player from the auction house. That way you can plan every new player the same way. You can extend the contract later in the squad.
Why can't I find a player with strength 9 or 11? Read
They don't exist on the transfer market. You can only get a strength 11 player in the auction house, and only as long as you don't have one yet.
Can I rename my players? Read
Yes, with the pencil next to the name on the player card in the squad. With Premium it is free, without Premium it costs 500,000 bankbook bucks per player. The new name has at most 40 characters.
Where do I see everything about a player? Read
In the player details: click “All details of the player” in the player card or the tab at the top. There you find his condition compared with the squad, the season end check, his line and his training, the season game by game, his career at your club and his contract. Use the arrow keys to page through the squad.
What do the small signs behind the names in the squad mean? Read
They warn you before the season end: red means the player faces a downgrade, orange that his contract runs out, and the flag that he plays his last season. With Premium a green arrow shows who is on the way to an upgrade.

Bucks, bankbook and sponsors
How do I earn the most? Read
Hotels are the biggest source of income: a 5-star hotel brings in 800,000 Bucks a day. Add full stadiums, advertising, TV rights and merchandising.
Coach's tip Build 5 ticket booths first. Without them only 30 % of the ticket money arrives.
What is the difference between account and bankbook? Read
Your account holds the bucks you pay with in the game. The bankbook is a second currency that you spend in the auction house and in the bankbook shop; it cannot be exchanged into bucks. You get bankbook bucks every day with your club effort, with the starter pack, with bought Premium and at Christmas. You can send them to other teams, where they land in the bankbook, at most 20 million sent and 20 million received per season. At the end of the season there is 2.5% interest.
What happens to debts? Read
They carry over into the new season. As long as your account is in the red, almost all purchases are blocked.
Coach's tip You can sell players aged 29 or older at any time. That brings in money and saves salary.
Can my team be deleted at the end of the season? Read
Yes. At the end of the season every team is deleted that has fewer than 9 players under contract for next season or more than 10 million in debt and at most 10 million bankbook bucks. A deleted team is lost. On the last three match days the game warns you in red on the start page and with a message in your office. Bought Premium protects you, Premium from the shop does not.
Coach's tip Give 9 players a contract for next season in good time. That alone already saves your team from the first rule.
What is club effort? Read
Four small tasks a day bring 150,000 bankbook bucks each: log in, save or confirm the line-up, set or confirm the training plan and watch your game live or in the game report. That is up to 600,000 a day. If you do everything on seven days in a row, you get a weekly bonus of 1.5 million on top. Open tasks are shown under To do on the start page.
Coach's tip The club effort widget shows your run towards the weekly bonus. One season of effort pays for all coaches of the next season in the auction house.
What is in the bankbook shop? Read
Premium for 24 hours (1 million) or 7 days (4 million), the WC wildcard (5 million) for a fixed place in next season's WorldCup and more days of vacation cover (1 million per 3 days), all paid with bankbook bucks. Next to every item it says how you reach it for free, because a victory cannot be bought. Premium from the shop brings no monthly bonus, no WorldCup place and no protection from deletion.
What happens to my team when I go on vacation? Read
Book a vacation cover in the settings, from now or from tomorrow, for up to 14 days in a row. Your assistant coach then sets the line-up from bank 1 for every game, keeps your training plan, motivates your players up to 120 at the normal price and resurfaces bad ice. Every team has 3 days per season free, more cost 1 million bankbook bucks per 3 days begun, with Premium the cover has no limit. When you are back, your office tells you what he did.
Coach's tip Before your vacation, save your best line-up in bank 1, the assistant coach takes that one.
What does the statistics page show without Premium? Read
The player statistics show games, goals and penalty minutes per competition, sorted by goals. The club tab shows your account and league place of today and the season balance sheet with earnings, expenses and result of the season. With Premium you sort every column, see the sum over all competitions, the events for the upgrade as a ready number, the upgrade and downgrade per player with a forecast to the season end, charts of the last 90 days and your club finances in detail. The rules themselves are in the game guide for everyone.
Where can I see where my money comes from and where it goes? Read
Under Team → Statistics → Club. Without Premium you see the earnings, expenses and result of the current season there. With Premium you also get earnings and expenses by area down to the single item, the season trend day by day, fixed costs and a forecast to the season end, spectators and earnings of every game, the biggest bookings, a league comparison without names and the comparison of your seasons. Every single booking is in the office, also without Premium.
Coach's tip If the forecast slips into the red, the page tells you how many days your money will last. Then it pays to take a look at salaries and stadium.
What does the break between two seasons cost me? Read
After game day 28 until the season starts on the 1st you pay no salaries. Only the costs of everything you have set up in your stadium surroundings run on. Salaries are due on the 28 game days, however long the month is.
Coach's tip Think carefully about what your club already needs during the break and what only at the start of the season.
How do I share my season? Read
Premium teams get a season review at the season end: place, record, best game, longest streak and the best players on a page of their own. Send the link to whoever you like, the page can be viewed without logging in. During the season you create it on My club with the button Share the season review.
Which sponsor contract is the best? Read
It depends on your main sponsor. Titles raise your sponsor level and unlock better paying sponsors; a WorldCup win counts for especially long. If you win a lot, performance or risk pays off, otherwise the fixed contract. Side sponsors pay per spectator after every league game. You can sign once per season.
Stock market
Shares, trading rounds and the Stock Market Cup
How does the stock market work? Read
Every club goes public 10 days after registering, with 200,000 shares at a starting price of 10.00: it keeps 100,000 in its own portfolio and offers 100,000 on the market. From then on you buy and sell shares of other clubs with orders. Orders are executed in four trading rounds at 8:00, 14:00, 19:00 and 23:30, all at the price of the round. A share whose club is playing right now waits until the next round.
What moves the price? Read
The price follows what a club is really worth: sport, squad and finances. On top of that the orders of the round push or drive it, and there is a touch of chance too. In one round it moves by 15 % at most, and it never falls below 1.00. How the building blocks are weighted, the game does not reveal.
Coach's tip Read the table, the squad and the stock market news. If you judge a club better than the market, you buy before the price catches up.
What does a trade cost, and will I always get rid of my shares? Read
For every executed order you pay a 1 % fee, at least 2,000 Bucks. An order covers 1,000 to 50,000 shares, is valid for 1 to 7 days and can be withdrawn until the round. With a limit you set what you pay at most or get at least, up to 15 % away from the price. If no player is found on the other side, the broker steps in: he buys 2 % below the price, up to 20,000 shares per club and round, and sells what he has 2 % above it. Nobody holds more than 25 % of another club.
Can I trade the shares of my own club? Read
Not in free trading, but under Stock market → My club: once per season a capital increase with up to 50,000 new shares, which the broker takes over in the next round 5 % below the price, and once a week each a buyback or a sale of up to 50,000 shares. Buyback and sale are only executed in the round after next. No club has more than 300,000 shares.
Is there a dividend? Read
Yes. At the end of the season every club that made a profit pays out 10 % of its season profit, spread over all its shares. What counts is the profit from the game operations, without stock market, bankbook and carry-over from the previous season. The dividend goes to whoever holds shares after the last trading round of game day 25, including shares in open sell orders. The share of own shares stays in the club.
Coach's tip The more own shares your club has sold, the more flows to outside shareholders. A buyback keeps the dividend in the house.
What is the Stock Market Cup? Read
A competition for stock traders, new every season and free of charge. You sign up until game day 25 and get 10 million Cup Bucks for your own Cup portfolio. Trading takes place at the real prices in the real rounds with a 1 % fee, but Cup orders do not move the prices, and the share of your club is locked. Whoever has the most valuable Cup portfolio at the end of the season wins. The best three get the Stock Market Cup trophy, the winner +10 points among the all-time greats. Cup Bucks never go to your account.
What does the stock exchange supervision do? Read
It makes sure that trading on the stock exchange is fair. Arrangements to push a share price or to shift money between clubs, and trading through several accounts are forbidden. The supervision then withdraws orders, suspends trading in a share, bans a manager from trading or excludes them from the Stock Exchange Cup of the season. You get the reason as a message in your office. If a share profile shows Trading suspended, the price rests, and the exchange only accepts new orders for this share once trading continues.
The stock market is what really tempts me. Do I still have to pick a line-up? Read
Yes. Line-up, sponsor, motivation, ice and replacing injured or suspended players remain your job as manager. Your assistant coach only changes the lines during the game and keeps your training. If you are away for a few days, book vacation cover: every game then gets Bank 1, your training stays in place, your players are motivated and poor ice is resurfaced. The stock market carries on anyway, and every trading round fills open orders.

How does a season work? Read
A season lasts one calendar month, and every day is a match day. In the preliminary round (match days 1 to 11) everyone plays everyone. Then come the best-of-5 playoffs: places 1 to 8 play for the title in the Top playoffs, places 9 to 12 fight relegation in the Flop playoffs.
How do I get promoted? Read
Only as champion of the Top playoffs. The champion also collects a 10 million bonus, the runner-up 5 million. The three losers of the Flop playoffs are relegated.
Coach's tip Below the league table, “The way to the top” shows all divisions, the league your champion is promoted to and the leagues the relegated teams go to.
How do I get into the WorldCup? Read
The draw is at the season change after game day 28, for the WorldCup of the next season. It grows with the game: about 40 percent of all teams that may take part. A fixed place goes to teams with full Premium, with a WC wildcard from the bankbook shop and to all teams of leagues 1 to 4. The other places are sporting ones: three quarters through the regular season ranking (first all league winners, then all runners-up and so on), the last quarter to the best score hunters of the world ranking. It is a knockout competition every second game day at 20:15, the final is on the 28th.
Coach's tip The WC wildcard costs 5 million bankbook bucks and counts for the draw at the end of the season in which you buy it.
How do I see whether my team is in the WorldCup? Read
Under WorldCup → Qualification. At the top you see the live status of your team: fixed place, in as it stands, just in or out, and how many places or points are missing to the line. Below you find all ways into the WorldCup and the ranking with the line. All information is without guarantee, everything can still shift until the draw.
How do I get into the world ranking? Read
Under WorldCup → World ranking there are three lists. For the score hunters every game in the base league, playoffs and WorldCup counts: win +3, loss −2, shutout win +6 extra, plus points for many goals, big wins and every WorldCup round won, in divisions 1 to 4 with a league weight of up to × 2. The top 3 at the end of the season get the world ranking trophy. For the richest teams your wealth counts: account, shares at sale value, fan merchandise in stock and your squad. For the all-time greats you collect points every season for your final rank and your titles, and they stay forever.
Coach's tip All point values are on the page under “How to get to the top”. The top 10 of the all-time greats wear the laurel wreath on their club page.
What does a 1-to-1 cost? Read
250,000 Bucks for each side. A 1-to-1 is always a friendly without a stake, and it starts at 22:15. Your players lose no freshness, form or condition, and the winner gets a 100,000 Bucks bonus.
What does a clan give me? Read
Community and competition: a clan has 24 spots, expandable to 48 in the clan house. Your own clan leagues play at 9:15 pm, from the 12th to the 15th there are knockout tournaments within the clan and on the 16th clan vs clan. Wins bring clan glory for the clan ranking and the stages of the clan house, the best win clan cups. Teams earn no money in clan games. Joining costs 2 million, which goes into the clan funds. Founding your own clan costs 15 million.

Where can I see what has changed in the game? Read
In the changelog, linked in the footer. It lists every new feature and every fixed bug, sorted by day. Whatever was added since your last visit is marked “New for you”.
Is there a detailed game guide? Read
Yes, the game guide tells the whole game in 21 chapters, from the first face-off to the cup on the 28th, with search and an index. You find it in the footer of every page, and the book icon next to the page title in the game takes you straight to the matching chapter. Your browser remembers what you have already read. For now it is only available in German.
Coach's tip Even the game guide keeps a few secrets, such as what exactly the strategy sliders do. You will find that out on the ice.
What data does IceFighter store? Read
Only what the game needs: email address, manager name and your game data, plus a session cookie for the login. We don't use any analytics, tracking or advertising services.
A team logo or passport photo infringes rights. How do I report it? Read
With Report picture at the bottom of every page in the game or on the club page that opens when you click a team name, in the header below the name, even without the spy. In the window you find the team by part of its name, you do not need a team number. Then pick the picture and the reason and write briefly what is wrong. We check every report by hand and let you know by message. A report belongs to the team, not to its name: renaming it or swapping the picture does not help.
A stadium name is insulting or belongs to a real club. What can I do? Read
Report it: in the live game or the game report with the small flag next to the stadium name, or via Report picture, where the name is listed next to the team's pictures. We check every report by hand. If the name breaks the rules, we delete it and the team plays in its "Home stadium" again.
Where can I see the records and history of a club? Read
On the club page. You find your own under Manager → My club, and a click on a team or manager name opens the page of any other club. It shows the running season with form and display cabinet, records such as the biggest win and the longest streak, the history season by season with the timeline of milestones and the legends of the club. For other clubs there is also the Duel with your head-to-head record and the Spy, for you the Locker room with record hunt, milestones and finance records that only you see. Everything is free, premium only adds a gold frame, passport photos and the team photo in the head.
Coach's tip With “How others see you” you check what other managers learn about your club. Bank balance and revenue are not part of it.
What does my trophy cabinet show? Read
Every trophy on its own in a display cabinet, with a glass shelf per competition and your most valuable trophy at the top as the showpiece. A click on a trophy shows league, division, season and your place after the regular season, for the newer seasons also the final and your top scorer. The shelf of honor holds your promotions and regular season wins, below it the trophies you are still missing, with the way to get them. On top come titles in figures, your title years and the all-time medal table of all clubs.
Coach's tip You open the cabinet of another club from its club page. With premium you choose the style of your cabinet and put your favorite trophy at the top as the showpiece, which only changes the looks.
Can I set up my home page myself? Read
Yes. The home page is made of widgets that you put together yourself. Drag a widget by its handle to move it, use the bottom right corner to change its width (1 to 4 columns) and height, and add new ones with “Add widget”. Every change is saved at once. On your phone the home page has its own order.
Coach's tip The game management sets a few widgets as standard. You can move them and make them bigger or smaller, but not remove them. Widgets with a lock are for Premium only.
Can I save different layouts of my start page? Read
Yes, with Premium. Next to “Standard” you have two save slots. A click on the disk saves your start page as it is right now under a name of your own: all widgets with their order, width and height, plus the order on your phone. A click on the save slot loads the view again, say one for game day and one for the stock exchange. The save slot that matches your start page right now is shown dark.
Coach's tip If your current layout is not kept in any save slot, the game asks before loading. When Premium ends, your views stay saved and are back at once with the next Premium.
What are the big moments on the home page? Read
After a special success a large window with a photo and text opens once on the home page: after a WorldCup win, the championship, a promotion, first place in the regular season or the first win of a new team. A relegation, a loyalty anniversary and the greeting for the new season are part of it too. At most one window appears per visit, the next one on your next visit.
Is IceFighter also available in English? Read
Yes. IceFighter is available in German and English, the English version at icefighter.com/en/. On the public pages you switch at the top right of the header, in the game at the bottom of every page. You stay logged in and land on the same page in the other language. You set your language in the settings: after logging in, the game opens in that language, and your daily report and game reminder come in it. Until you choose one, the language you last played in applies.
Can I play on my phone? Read
Yes, in the browser. The pages adapt to narrow screens, and the menu then sits behind the menu button. You don't need an app.
