What data we process
We only process the data we need for the game:
- Account: email address (also your login), password (stored only as an encrypted hash), manager name and the time, IP address and browser identifier of your registration.
- Team: club and city name, continent, the team logo and player photos you upload, and your settings.
- Game history: everything that happens in the game, such as line-ups, training, transfers, auctions, account transactions, matches and clans.
- Messages: private messages to other managers, with the time and the sender's IP address.
- Pictures: when you upload a team logo or passport photo, the time and IP address together with your confirmation of the picture rights; when you report a picture, your report with time and IP address. We need this to handle reports under the Digital Services Act.
- Access data: IP address and time of every login and every transaction in the game. On every page view the web server writes the IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, browser type and operating system to log files.
- Emails: the registration confirmation, links to reset your password and the code for deleting a team.
We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts, images and videos are on our own servers; while you play, no data is passed to Google, YouTube or other third parties.
Purposes and legal bases
We use the data to provide the game to you and run it securely.
- Running the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): We need account, team and game data to calculate matches, show tables and statistics and deliver messages. Other managers can also see your team and manager name, team logo, player photos and results.
- Account emails (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): registration, a new password and deleting a team.
- Security and fair play (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): We use IP addresses and log files to fend off attacks, find errors and detect multiple accounts or cheating in the game. We have a legitimate interest in this.
Recipient
We do not sell your data or pass it on for advertising. Access is limited to our staff, as far as they need it to run the game, and to the service provider operating our servers as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The connection to IceFighter is encrypted with TLS (https).
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for logging in and running the game. These do not require your consent (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
- sid keeps you logged in and is deleted when you close your browser.
- wizard remembers for one year that you no longer want to see the getting-started help.
Which notices you have closed is remembered by your browser in its local storage (localStorage); this information never leaves your browser. We have no cookies for analytics or advertising. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time, but without the sid cookie you cannot log in.
Storage period
Your data is stored for as long as your account exists. If you delete your team or ask us to delete your account, we remove your data unless the law requires us to keep it.
We keep the web server log files only as long as we need them for security and troubleshooting, and delete them afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent, such as for the daily report, at any time with effect for the future.
